At Be Canine our goal is to strengthen the bond between owners and their canine companions by helping you and your pup to understand each other while fulfilling both parties' needs. This enables you and your pup to live a rewarding and fulfilling life together that can be sustained for life.

We embrace and teach a natural approach to dog training that utilities your dog's natural instincts and psychology. We work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and behaviors offering a variety of training and fulfillment services to help you achieve whatever your goals may be. We specialize in working with dogs that are displaying unhealthy and unwanted behaviors, and we are able to see long lasting results due to our species appropriate approach and addressing the root cause. Once we have assessed a dog and understand where a behavior is stemming from, then we can customize an appropriate training program for our training journey together.
We believe that truly understanding our dogs and their needs as a canine species, living in our human world, is the first step in helping them to live happy and fulfilled lives.

Angela
Owner, Head Trainer and Pack Walking Manager
I am incredibly passionate about the canine species and am lucky enough to now call my passion my career. Over the last five years I have had the honor of working for, undergoing professional training from, and to this day continue to work closely alongside one of the two internationally recognized dog behaviorists located in New Zealand; my focus is on understanding the canine species and helping them to live in our human world.
Ben
Dog Handler/Farm Worker
Hi, my name is Ben, I’m 24 and from Birmingham in the United Kingdom. I moved over to Auckland in December 2023.
I got into this industry purely due to my love for dogs. After wanting a dog for my entire life, I finally got my first dog back in 2019, forming a unique connection with him that I had never felt before, and truthfully becoming a much better person for having him in my life. Since starting at Be Canine, I have only become even more interested in dogs, learning about their body language, different breeds and certain behaviors that can tell you a lot about them.
Outside of work, I am a massive soccer (football) fan, watching it and playing it whenever I get the chance. Additionally, I just love being outside and being active, from running, to biking to hiking. Then, if the weather’s not too great, I don’t mind staying in and watching a film or playing on my gaming console.
